Prolex Pad is an advanced text and HTML editor for Windows.
It has advantages like detailed toolbars, different skins and an Updater!

Overview of some Highlights:
Recent Files:
Although the Recent Files is a small feature, it is an important and time-saving one, too. You can find it in the 'File'-menu. When you're using Windows 7 then you can access it through the startmenu and the jumplist as well.

Designs:
Prolex Pad has 15 themes and combined with the 140 different background colors you have a set of 2100 skins - there is at least one theme you like.

Snapping Tool:
The Snapping Tool is a feature for non-Windows 7 users. It gives you the ability to use the popular Aero Snap even on your computer!

Codings:
Sometimes you need your text to be coded binary, decimal or hexadecimal. No problem for Prolex Pad!

Explorer and Jumplist Integration:
To get the highest potential out of Prolex Pad the use of Windows 7 is promoted, because it uses the newest features from the operating system.

- Deleting the next character if the delete key was pressed
- 'Save Selection As' (in the 'File' menu)
- Macro commands from the 'File' and 'View' menu
- Drag & Drop between the textbox and the HTML debug webbrowser
- Program icon (in the About-dialog)
- Recency state (in the About-dialog)
- 'Update'-button in the About-dialog (if a newer version is available)
- 'Window Backcolor'-combobox (in the Options panel)
- 'Unload Document'
- 'Tabs to Spaces' and 'Spaces to Tabs'
- 'Capitalize first Character'
- 'Character...' in the GoTo-dialog
- 'Tab', 'Line' and 'Paragraph' in the 'Insert' menu
- Fulltheme (equal window appearance)

Fixed:
- Main window was (still) disabled if the security query is closed with the close button
- Recent file wasn't loaded if text is typed into the textbox
- Security query was shown even if the text hasn't changed (very rarly)
- File types couldn't be translated (in the security query)
- Security query wasn't shown before a new document is loaded if text is typed into the textbox
- Save State was untranslatable
- HTML input dialogs weren't translated correctly
- Gradients from the 'VS 2005' and 'VS 2008' skins couln't be turned off
- Some colors were unselectable from the 'Textbox Backcolor'-combobox
- Amount of macros was limited
- UPPER-/lowercase was distinguished (for the macro commands)
- Recent file with the same content could exist twice
- Characters Counter, Words Counter and Lines Counter weren't refreshed if an arrow key is or was pressed

Changed:
- Stretched the security query (so that longer translations won't be cut)
- Rearranged the format of the timestamp
- Shifted the position of the timestamp to the end of the logbook
- Equalled the dialogs (same form/button/box size)
- The whole About-dialog
- Trimmed the startup speed
- Shortened up the time of displaying the Save State (from 5 seconds to 2 seconds)
- Moved the skins to to the options panel
- Reprogrammed the macro interpreter

To Do:
- Dialogs aren't translated correctly by opening them 2+ times

Check out the first post if your computer hasn't got Prolex Pad installed, else start the Updater through the 'Help'-menu.
